Sex can be a means of bringing two people together in mutual love and respect. However, there are times when sex can be destructive or hurtful. When certain lines are crossed, what is meant to be an expression of love, can turn into a problem that has physical, emotional, and even legal consequences. According to a review in the journal Current Pharmaceutical Design, sexual addiction affects anywhere from three to sixteen out of every one hundred adults.
